Christmas Gifts for the Homeless (December 24, 2016)

B2B Networking Group is always seeking to be part of and ways to give back to the community. This year B2B Networking Group abstained from a catered Christmas Party and instead opted to have a pot-luck. With the money saved members donated gloves, hats, and blankets for the Homeless, which were brought to the Christmas Party. On December 24th at 9:00 a.m. those gifts were distributed to the Homeless as Christmas Gifts (we wrapped most with bows), by two members, John Carlo Victorino and Claudia Lee Townsend. Most Homeless asked for gloves, because it was snowing that morning.  So after all the gloves ran out, the two members headed for a local client's downtown store, "Jashan Market" and bought every pair of gloves in the store. We "Thank" Jashan Market for they provided a nice discount.  So in total at least 30 gloves were passed out to the Homeless, a dozen warm hats/beanies, a half dozen blankets, with additional warm items as well. Every single person was so appreciative for most were clearly cold and their hands were purple because of the freezing weather that day. Their eyes lit up, huge smiles were exchanged with a few tears, after we told them, "It was their Christmas Gift."
